Hastings resident, Floyd G. Frerichs, 78, of 1655 East 'J' Street, died Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Monday April 22, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Sacia Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Floyd G. Frerichs was born September 9, 1923 in Hastings, Nebraska on the family farmstead to Gerd & Hilda (Hinrikus) Frerichs. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1940 and married Lois W. Berndt on November 7, 1943. He was a retired farmer and a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he did volunteer work. He was also a member of Eagle's Aerie #592 and Southern Hills Golf Course. He had been a rural volunteer fireman and served on the rural fire board for many years. He had also served on District #40 school board and Zion Lutheran school board. He was a life long resident of Adams County.
Floyd G. Frerichs was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Minnie Frerichs and a great grandson, Evan Franzen.
