Frances Lau

Former area resident, Frances I. Lau, 66, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Cancer Treatment Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 19, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at the North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the North Shore Assembly of God Church for their building project. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2008; Noon - 9:00 P.M., Friday, July 18, 2008; 9:00 A.M-9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Saturday, July 19, 2008 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Frances was born on July 10, 1942 to Fred and Iris (Kunselman) Saathoff in Adams County, Nebraska. She attended grade school at Rural Dist #54 and High School in Hastings. On September 3, 1961, she married Darrell H. Lau. She worked for a short time at the Hastings Tribune and also at EG& G in Santa Barbara, California before becoming a homemaker & devoted mother to her four children. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends and serving the Lord.

Mrs. Lau was preceded in death by her father, Fred Saathoff.
