Frances Roush

Former Hastings resident, Frances J. (Frankie) Roush, 89, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Grand Island Veterans Home in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorial services will be Thursday, March 4, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at Grand Island Veterans Home Chapel, Grand Island with Chaplin Bill Noer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska on Thursday at 1:00 P.m. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Grand Island Veterans Home.

Frances was born October 10, 1920 in Superior, Nebraska to Frank & Verna (Doggett) Irwin. She graduated from Superior High School. On September 1, 1943 she entered the U.S. Army Airforce, and was honorably discharged on November 18, 1945. In 1947, she moved from Superior to Hastings. She married Kenneth D. Roush and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1967. She was a homemaker, in sales at K-Mart, Brock Thompson and was a seamstress at Mode-O-Day. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth D. Roush; and one sister.
