Frances "Lorraine" Osler

Hastings resident Frances “Lorraine” Osler, 92, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, at New Hope Baptist Church, 1204 West 5 ^th Street, in Hastings with Pastor Eddie Goff officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to New Hope Baptist Church or Adams County Historical Society. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. with family present 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Lorraine was born October 5, 1925, in Oglesby, TX to Ed & Johnnie (Crouch) Abel. She married John “Lavern” Mohlman on March 6, 1949; he preceded her in death on December 6, 1997. Lorraine married Rod Osler on December 21, 2004.

Lorraine was employed by Union Pacific Railroad in Hastings as a depot agent-telegrapher, farm wife and homemaker, and also worked at Pooh Corner. She was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Adams County Extension Group, Genealogical Society – Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Women’s Church Circle, and Parkinson’s Support Group.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John “Lavern” Mohlman; son, Thomas Mohlman; and two brothers, Calvin & Edward.
