Hastings resident, Frank J. Stutesman, 82, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion.
Rosary will be Tuesday, November 18, 2003; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 19, 2003; 10:30 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Frank J. Stutesman was born June 27, 1921 in Long Island, Kansas to Edwin & Blanche (Price) Stutesman. He graduated from Guide Rock High School, Guide Rock, Nebraska and married Marcelene 'Marcy' Champoux on June 19, 1942 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army during WWII from August 13, 1942 to October 10, 1945 and was awarded a purple heart. He moved to Hastings, Nebraska in the 1940's and was an electrician for Guarantee Electric, ABC Electric, owned Stutesman Electric and worked for and retired from Farmland Industries in 1985. He was a Master Electrician. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles and a lifetime member of V.F.W.
Frank J. Stutesman was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
