Frank Touchstone

July 11, 1927 — March 22, 2005

Hastings resident, Frank V. Touchstone, 77, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Saturday, March 26, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William G. Nattage-Tacey officiating.

Mr. Touchstone was born July 11, 1927 to Cary & Mabel Ellen (Thomas) Touchstone in London, Kentucky. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and later received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Purdue University. In 1961, he married Dorothy Anderson in Shreveport, Louisiana. He taught at Purdue University as well as Pennsylvania State University. They then moved to Hazard, Kentucky where he served as director of Psychology at the Upper Kentucky River Mental Health Center. In 1975, they moved to Hastings, Nebraska, where he served as the Director of the Psychology Department at the Hastings Regional Center until his retirement in 1995. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as deacon and elder as well as being one of the founding members of the church's Stephens Ministry group. He also recently served as a member of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies' Preparation for the Ministry committee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Thomas, sister, Mary and his wife Dorothy.
