Frederick H. Kluver
Hastings resident, Frederick H. Kluver, 83, of 2323 West 4th St., died Monday, October 10, 2005 at his home.
Services will be Wednesday, October 12, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Judith Miller officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Kluver was born March 29, 1922 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Frank & LaBena (Koch) Kluver. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1940 and served in the United States Army during WWII from 1943 until 1945. He earned a Purple Heart. On May 9, 1946, he married Berdina Terwey in Norton, Kansas. After his discharge, he worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings, Nebraska for 21 years and the Grand Island Ordinance Plant for 7 years. He then worked for Adams County Department of Roads until he retired in 1988. He was a life long area resident and a member of the V.F.W. and was a past member of the Glenvil American Legion. He played part time in the Adams County Moonshiners Band and volunteered at the Golden Friendship Center.
Mr. Kluver was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Helen Hunt and a grandson, Logan James Kluver.
