Gail Fitzke

July 18, 1946 — September 5, 2010

Hastings resident, Gail Jean Fitzke, 63, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at her residence.

Memorial services will be Monday, May 10, 2010; 2:00 P.M. at Clay Center Christian Church, Clay Center with Pastor Anthony Godtel officiating. A private family burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield, Nebraska. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the family; a memorial will be established at a later date.

Gail was born July 18, 1946 in Superior, Nebraska to Fredrick & Aldena (Lindemann) Emrich. She graduated from Fairfield High School. On July 24, 1965 she married Eugene Fitzke in Hastings, Nebraska. Along with being a devoted homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She volunteered at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and was a past president of the Auxiliary Board. Gail was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church through which she became involved in multiple bible studies. She was known to her family and friends as a prayer warrior with a servant's heart.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fritz Emrich; nephew, Russell Fitzke; step-father, John Underwood; and father-in-law, Orville Fitzke.
