Gary Hahne

Hastings resident, Gary Hahne, 73, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be Friday, August 29, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gary Hahne Memorial Fund.

Gary was born July 13, 1935 the son of Gordon and Ann Hahne in Hastings, Nebraska. He attended Hastings Public Schools where he played and lettered in varsity football and basketball. Gary graduated from Hastings High School in 1953. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 until 1957 and was in Korea. Gary then attended four years of college, on August 26, 1966 he married Nancy J. Stumbaugh. He worked for Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Company in the Engineering Department for about 12 years. In 1974 he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Hastings retiring in 1998.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ann.
