Gary Harris

Hastings resident, Gary L. Harris, 66, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at The Ambassador, Omaha, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, January18, 2014; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.

Gary was born May 18, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa to Keith G. & Dorothy M. (Fowler) Harris. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1965. Gary served with the U.S. Navy from April 7, 1966 until January 12, 1970. His work experience included Real Estate, owning and operating the Shipwreck and other retail sales positions. Gary was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing pool, was an avid NASCAR, Cubs and Husker fan.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy M. (Fowler) Harris.
