Gayle Consbruck

Hastings resident, Gayle A. Consbruck, 74, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at his home.

Rosary will be Sunday, May 15, 2016; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 16, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial with military funeral honors by Nebraska National Guard will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2016; Noon - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 15, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Gayle was born September 12, 1941 in Hastings, Nebraska to Raymond & Luella (Schmitz) Consbruck. He graduated from Roseland High School and served in the National Guard from May 28, 1960 until May 29, 1967. Gayle married Eileene Echternach on December 14, 1968 at First Christian Church in Hastings. He worked as a machinist for Western Land Roller. Gayle was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Eagles Club, Knights of Pythias, and Hastings Jaycees.

Gayle was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Nicky Joe Consbruck; son; Steven J. Consbruck; and brother, Royce Consbruck.
