Gayle L. Karr

Hastings resident Gayle L. Karr, 79, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, NE.    

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn to the service. Burial will follow the service at Kenesaw Cemetery in Kenesaw. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice. 

Gayle was born July 5, 1944 in Hastings, NE to Delvin and Fern (Nelson) Karr. He graduated from Holstein High School and Milford Trade School. Gayle served in the National Guards from 1966 to 1974. He married Gloria A. Pittz on August 1, 1964, and to this union, three children were born; they later divorced. 

Gayle worked as a general contractor in construction for many years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #592 and Faith Lutheran Church.

Gayle was preceded in death by his parents.
