Geneva Matthews

Geneva Victoria Matthews, 84, of Good Samaritan Village, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, January 14, 2006; 10:30am at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Roy Lee Harris & Pastor Robert Terrell officiating. Burial will in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ms. Matthews was born April 16, 1921 in Bigelow, Arkansas to Dennis and Minnie (Polk) Haddrick. She attended school in Arkansas. She married James Matthews on March 24, 1942, he preceded her in death on November 29, 1986. They moved from Forrest Arkansas in 1945 to Hastings, Nebraska. She worked at the NAD and was a housekeeper and a care giver for local families. She was a member of Pentecostal Temple and taught Sunday School.

Ms. Matthews was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Memorial may be given to Pentecostal Temple
