Hastings resident, Genevieve M. Mott, 84, of 800 Glenwood, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital of a heart attack.
Services will be Tuesday, October 19, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, rural Hall County, Nebraska.
Mrs. Mott was born November 9, 1919 in Oakland, California to Stephen & Nora (Stroh) Neubecker. She graduated from high school and married Byron W. Mott . He preceded her in death on July 14, 1971. She moved to the Hastings, Nebraska area in 1949 from San Francisco, California. She was a homemaker and a member of Does, V.F.W., Eagles, American Legion, DAV and Mary Lanning auxiliaries. She was a past member of the Women's Club. Genevieve was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who touched many lives and was known to her great-grandchildren as the "Great One". She enjoyed cards and bingo with her friends.
Mrs. Mott was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dale Mott, grandson, Jonathan Craft, two brothers and a sister.
