Georgia Schmale

Former Hastings resident, Georgia V. Schmale, 91, of Blue Hill Care Center died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at the Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Memorial service Friday, September 6, 2002; 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Chapel with Dr. Carl W. Utley officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, both in Hastings, Nebraska.

Georgia V. Schmale was born September 18, 1910 in Cowles, Nebraska to John N. & Charlotte (Brimmer) Hutchins. She graduated from Red Cloud High School, Red Cloud, Nebraska and from Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska. She married Carl F. Schmale on August 15, 1939 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. She was an elementary school teacher in rural Webster & Franklin counties including Campbell, Nebraska and Blue Hill, Nebraska schools. They moved from Campbell, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1968. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hastings, Nebraska and was a Mary Lanning Auxiliary volunteer.

Georgia V. Schmale was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
