Gerald Bourg

Hastings resident, Gerald W. "Pat" Bourg, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Jay Towell officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015; 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to AseraCare Hospice.

Pat was born July 5, 1917 northeast of Prosser in Hall County, Nebraska to Matt & Carrie (Gensmer) Bourg. He grew up in Hall County; served as a tank driver in the Third Armored Division in World War II and farmed in Hall and Adams Counties. Pat was a member of the American Legion in Doniphan.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Florence; parents; two sisters, infant Ardis Bourg and Norma Rathman; and brother, Richard "Dick" Bourg.
