Gerald Calhoun

Clay Center resident, Gerald 'Jerry' Calhoun, 75, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.

Graveside Service will be Friday, November 13, 2015; 1:00 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Those attending are requested by the family to wear casual dress. Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2015; 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the Jerry Calhoun Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date, in c/o Butler Volland Funeral Home.

Jerry was born on November 15, 1939, in Hebron, Nebraska to Archie L. and Mildred C. (Weber) Calhoun. His family moved to Lincoln and Hastings in the late 40's. He attended Hastings High School. He worked as an Auto Body repairman and at Dutton-Lainson in the paint department. He moved to Clay Center after he retired to be close to his grandchildren. Jerry served in the Nebraska National Guard.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Darrell L. Calhoun, infant Richard A. Calhoun, and Tim Calhoun.
