Gertrude Sidders

Former Hastings resident, Gertrude M. Sidders, 85, of Centennial, Colorado, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in Aurora, Colorado.

Visitation and viewing will be Friday, June 2, 2006; 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Butler -Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, Nebraska. Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, June 3, 2006; 11:00 A.M. at Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, Nebraska with Rev. Judith Allen officiating.

Mrs. Sidders was born October 16, 1920 in Doniphan, Nebraska to Roy & Marie (Phipps) Johnson. She married James (Vess) Sidders on February 14, 1946 in Osborne, Kansas. They moved Hastings, Nebraska after their marriage, where Gertrude and her family ran the Sidders Factory Outlet store. They later moved to California where she has spent the last 30 years until she moved to Colorado this year with her son.

Mrs. Sidders was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James.
