Gladys B. Weiler, 90, of The Kensington, 233 N. Hastings, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Gladys B. Weiler was born December 27, 1912 in Walcott, North Dakota to George & Anna (Perhus) Vangsnes. She graduated from high school and was transferred from Fargo, North Dakota with the Lutheran Hospital Association to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1943. In April of 1948, she married Francis J. 'Doc' Weiler and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1996. She worked for Hohlfeld Paint and later was a secretary for the United State Department of Agriculture for many years. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and NARFE.
Gladys B. Weiler was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francis 'Doc'; 5 brothers, Oscar, Samuel, Melvin, Clifford and Clarence.
