Gladys Willy

Hastings resident, Gladys R. Willy, 95, of Perkins Pavilion, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at her home.

Rosary will be Tuesday, October 5, 2004; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Willy was born July 9, 1909 in Ohiowa, Nebraska to William & Hazel (Oglesby) Sieckman. She graduated from Belvidere, Nebraska and on December 24, 1927, she married Stephen E. Willy in Belleville, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1997. They moved from Deshler, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1929. She was a bookkeeper for Steve Willy's Body Shop prior to being a Nurse's Aide at Good Samaritan Village for 13 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Mrs. Willy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stephen, son, Gerald, two brothers and two sisters.
