Hastings resident, Glenn 'Mac' McMurray, 82, of 803 University Avenue, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at his home.
Services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William E. Deahl Jr. officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2006; 9am-9pm & Tuesday, October 3, 2006; 9am until service time. Memorials to the family.
Mr. McMurray was born February 16, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Lee Adair & Erma Florence (Reed) McMurray. On March 21, 1943, he married Jean H. Seitz in Hastings, Nebraska and she preceded him in death on February 16, 2003. He served in the United States Army during WWII from April 3, 1943 until December 27, 1945. They lived in Leavenworth, Kansas from 1959 until his retirement from Civil Service in 1973. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska that same year and he started his hobby of buying homes to fix up and resale. He was a member of the Eagles and D.A.V.
Mr. McMurray was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jean and a son, Danny.
