Gloria Breault

Hastings resident, Gloria J. Breault, 85, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, August 2, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Andrea Paulson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Monday, August 1, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Gloria was one of nine children born to Raymond and Mabel (Moore) Lewis of Aurora, Kansas on March 7, 1931. She lived on the family farm near Aurora and attended grade school at the rural school near her home. She was a graduate of Concordia, Kansas high school. Following graduation, she worked for her father at the Aurora, Kansas CO-OP and while working there she met Hubert Breault. They were united in marriage at St. Peters Catholic Church in Aurora, Kansas on February 21, 1950. To this union six children were born.

Prior to 1965, they lived on the family farm, Aurora, Kansas, and Ada, Kansas. In 1965 they moved to Hardy, Nebraska where she worked at the Hardy CO-OP and drove school bus for the Superior, Nebraska schools. Gloria worked for H&R Block in Hastings as a tax preparer for many years until she retired at age 73. In January 1992 Gloria and Hubert moved to Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska where she resided at the time of her death. Visiting with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much happiness. Her love of flowers and gardening also gave her special joy.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Breault; granddaughter, Angela Langenberg; grandson, Jordan Fisk; two great-granddaughters, Aubrey Fogel and Sydney Berns; great-grandson, Theo Hawkins; three brothers, Raymond Jr., Glenn, and Donald Lewis; and three sisters, Norma Lee Istas, Berniece Burt, and Shirley Vincent.
