Gloria Hiatt

Former Hastings resident, Gloria Jean (Loftus) Hiatt, 64, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Rosary will be Thursday, February 16, 2012; 9 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 A.M. with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Book signing will be 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. Gloria had requested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Gloria was born February 1, 1948 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Elmer (Judd) & Betty Loftus. She graduated from Hastings St. Cecilia's High School in 1966. Gloria's career spanned 40 years in the Medical Insurance field. Her last 15 years of employment dealt with Regulation and Compliance issues for Medical Insurance companies. Gloria retired from Cox Health Plans in the spring of 2010. Gloria married Michael Hiatt on July 8, 1994; both were retired and lived near Bull Shoals Lake in Protem, Missouri. Gloria will be cherished for her love of family and friends. Though lost from sight her image shall be treasured and hidden in the hearts that knew her best and loved her most.

Gloria (Loftus) Hiatt was preceded in death by her father, Elmer "Judd" Loftus in 1992.
