Grace McQuiston

Hastings resident, Grace T. McQuiston, 89, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, June 25, 2007; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, June 23, 2007; Noon - 5pm, Sunday, June 24, 2007; 1pm-5pm and Monday, June 25, 2007, 9am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Heartland Pet Connection.

Mrs. McQuiston was born May 17, 1918 in McCook, Nebraska to William T. & Katie (Walters) Tanner. She graduated from Oxford High School and married Glen R. McQuiston in Oxford, Nebraska on October 25, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1991. They moved from Wichita, Kansas to Hastings in 1947. She was an account clerk for the City of Hastings for 20 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the YWCA.

Mrs. McQuiston was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen R. McQuiston Sr., step father, Fred Martin, sister, Ruth Clark, brother, Robert Tanner and three step sisters, Marie Harmon, Anna Grosenbach & Katie Wise.
