Grace Shane

June 12, 1907 — July 7, 2009

Former Glenvil resident, Grace Shane, 102, of Rose Brook Care Center, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Rose Brook Care Center, Edgar, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, July 10, 2009; 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2009, at the church from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Shane was born June 12, 1907 northwest of Fairfield, Nebraska on the family farm in Clay County, Nebraska to Herman J. & Feeke (Ahrens) Harms. She attended Mulberry School and Glenvil High School. On April 24, 1935, she married Lloyd R. Shane and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2001. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, WELCA & Spring Ranch Homemakers Club. She loved to garden and help on the farm.

Mrs. Shane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; two brothers, Fred & Walter Harms; a great grandson; two half brothers, William & Otto Flesner and a half sister, Allie Saathoff.
