H. Bannister

Hastings resident, H. Gayle Bannister, 73, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010; at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Service will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Clay Center Cemetery, Clay Center, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 26, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., and until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice.

Gayle was born August 29, 1937 in Wolbach, Nebraska to Harry G. & Neta D. (McDowell) Bannister. He married Arlene A. Kizior on March 31, 1959; she preceded him in death on September 25, 1992. On September 8, 1955 he entered the Army, and was honorably discharged on September 5, 1958. He was self employed and did floor covering. He attended St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Harvard.

Gayle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene A. Bannister; and grandson, Trace Bohannon.
