Former Campbell resident, Harold C. Reinking, 88, of Blue Hill Care Center, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Blue Hill Care Center.
Private services will be at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Presbyterian Cemetery, Campbell, Nebraska. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Harold C. Reinking Memorial Fund.
Mr. Reinking was born July 20, 1918 in Walthill, Nebraska to William R. & Nettie Mae (Milton) Reinking. He graduated from Grand Island High School in 1935. On July 1, 1939, he married Loretta 'Peggy' Sturek in North Platte, Nebraska. They celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage in 2006. He operated the Farmer's Union Elevator in Ohiowa, Nebraska for 6 years. They moved to Campbell, Nebraska from Ohiowa in 1952 where he founded and built the Reinking Grain & Supply Company. He was a very successful businessman, retiring in 1984. He was a former member of Charity Lodge #53 in Red Cloud, Nebraska, Scottish Rite and Tehama Shriners in Hastings.
Mr. Reinking was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
