Harold Wagner

Hastings resident, Harold W. Wagner, 102, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at College View Assisted Living & Memory Support, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, April 15, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Paul Knott officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2011; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Berean Bible Church.

Harold was born December 8, 1908 in Hastings, Nebraska to John & Anna M. (Guenther) Wagner. He graduated from Hastings High School and then he attended and graduated from Hastings College. On June 23, 1933 he married Flora M. Herbst in Hastings, Nebraska. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk and supervisor for 35 ½ years. He was a member of Berean Bible Church and served on the Hastings Airport Authority for seven years.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Flora Wagner; one grandson; one great-grandson; four sisters; and two brothers.
