Harry Alexander, Jr

Hastings resident, Harry Alexander, Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Grand Island Lakeview, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Monday, May 23, 2016; 11:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to AseraCare Hospice, Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, or Make-A-Wish. Book signing will be Sunday, May 22, 2016; 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home.

Harry was born May 23, 1935 in O'Neill, Nebraska to Harry Sr. & Elsie (Muth) Alexander. He attended Hastings Public Schools and graduated from the Omaha School of Barbering. Harry served in the U.S. Army from August 19, 1954 to October 29, 1959. He married Sandra L. Peterson on October 27, 1963. Harry was a barber for many years and attended North Shore Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, golfing, scratch lotto game tickets, and was an avid Husker fan.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
