Juniata resident Harry Machnicki, 58, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Norfolk, NE.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 2, at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date for Harry's favorite charities. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Harry was born November 15, 1959, in El Paso, TX to Dan & Helen (Rodabaugh) Machnicki. He graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, MO. Harry married Teri Furrow on January 1, 2006, in Pauline, NE. Harry was employed as an iron worker for DeWine Mechanical in Columbus, NE.
Harry's greatest joy in life was his family, especially his nine grandchildren. He never met a stranger and if you ever had the pleasure of meeting him you were instantly a lifelong friend. If there was ever anyone in need, whether it be a friend, family, or someone broken down on the side of the road Harry was always the first to help. He took pride in his job as an ironworker and always said he was "building America." Harry loved life and lived it to the absolute fullest.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents.
