Hastings resident, Harry D. Schwartzkopf, 83, of 808 Webster, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at College View Assisted Living.

Services will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials to First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2007; 9am-5pm at the funeral home & Tuesday, March 6, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Mr. Schwartzkopf was born April 14, 1923 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry & Christine (Pauley) Schwartzkopf. He graduated from Hastings High School and received a certificate of completion as a tool & die maker from Milford Trade School, Milford, Nebraska. On June 21, 1943, he married Velma I. Bird in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a tool & die maker for Hastings Irrigation & Pipe Company and retired in 1987 as a member of the management team. He was a life long Hastings resident and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Schwartzkopf was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Nikkie Schwartzkopf.
