Helen Katzberg

Hastings resident, Helen M. Katzberg, 94, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, May 27, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour.

Helen was born July 14, 1916 in Hastings, Nebraska to William & Mary (Grafelmann) Katzberg. She was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church on May 24, 1931. She graduated from Hastings High School. Helen was a homemaker and took care of her brother, Carl Katzberg and sister, Augusta Katzberg. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and painting.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Augusta Katzberg and Margaret Von Kampen; and brothers, Fred Katzberg, Carl Katzberg, August Katzberg, and Bill Katzberg.
