Henry Miller

October 25, 1918 — July 25, 2005

Hastings resident, Henry "Hank" Leroy Miller, 86, of 213 East 5th Street, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, July 29, 2005; 2:30 P.M. at Livingston-Butler-Volland Chapel in Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor John Green officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Miller was born October 25, 1918 in Exeter, Nebraska to Henry W. And Bertha (Drier) Miller. He graduated from McCool Junction Public School in 1935. He served in the US Army and Nebraska Army National Guard for 33 years. On June 7, 1941 he married Wilma Mary Lamborn in Littlerock, Arkansas. He worked for the City Water and Light Company for 17 years. He managed and was also a member of the VFW, Eagles and DAV until he retired in 2003. He was the past State Commander for Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of the American Legion and Retired Enlisted Men Association. Hank loved to be around people. He volunteered for numerous organizations and helped anyone who needed it.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, son, Henry William, grandson, Larry Miller Jr., 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Brother: Boyd Miller - McCool Junction, NE
Sisters: Ruth Schrader - St. Paul, NE
Ruby Morales - West Virginia

Memorial may be given to the Family

Visitation: Wed. 7-27-05: 1pm - 9pm
Thurs. 7-28-05: 9 am - 9 pm Family will be present from 6 pm - 8 pm
Fri. 7-29-05: 9 am - until service time
