Howard Harris

Hastings resident, Howard E. Harris, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, November 15, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at All Saints Chapel - Good Samaritan Village, Hastings with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children Transportation Fund.

Howard was born November 11, 1928 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Charles A. & Nellie B. (Turner) Harris. He graduated from Red Cloud High School. Howard served in the U.S. Army from 1951 through 1953. He worked at Friends Motor Supply where he retired. Howard was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings Lodge #50, Tehama Shrine, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign War.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen; niece, DarleneGrewell; and nephew, Roger Farrar.
