Ida Esther Kleier, 91, of Perkins Pavilion, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Monday, January 6, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, Christ Lutheran Churchyard, rural Juniata, Nebraska.
Ida Kleier was born September 10, 1911 in Adams County, Nebraska to Harm & Anna (Gartner) Johnson. She was baptized on October 17, 1911 and confirmed on May 31, 1925. She graduated from the 8th grade on May 8, 1925 from District #5. At the age of 11, she began playing the organ at St. Matthews Church in Hastings, Nebraska. On December 11, 1929, she married Herman Kleier and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Ladies Guild and served on the election board for many years.
Ida Kleier was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman, 4 brothers, Hank, Harm, John & Walter and 1 sister, Marie Wortman.
