Ida Nowka

Former Hastings resident, Ida M. Nowka, 93, died Monday, January 13, 2003 at Beverly Healthcare Park Place, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 17, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ida M. Nowka was born August 13, 1909 in Butler County, Nebraska to Joseph & Pauline (Rerucha) Hinesh. On August 25, 1929, she married Frank Alvin Nowka and he preceded her in death in 1978. She was a nurses aide at Webster County Community Hospital, Red Cloud, Nebraska, Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and the Hastings Regional Center, both in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was an area resident since 1929.

Ida M. Nowka was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Nowka, 2 sisters and 2 brother.

Memorial may be given to American Diabetes Association
