Ilon Schmidt

Ilon H. Schmidt, 84, of The Kensington, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, March 31, 2006; 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Heuer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Schmidt was born June 19, 1921, in Buena Vista County, Iowa, to Gust & Media (Blomgren) Josephson. She graduated from Albert City High School in 1938 and completed her schooling at Commercial Extension School in Omaha. She married Luther "Bud" Schmidt on August 22, 1947, at the First Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2003. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Special Olympics.

Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Lloyd & Robert Josephson.
