Iris Campbell

Hastings resident, Iris I. Campbell, 93, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home in Village Green.

Services will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Crossroads of Hastings.

Iris Irene Kunselman was born August 24, 1918 in Harvard, NE to Alphus & Mabel (Swartz) Kunselman. She graduated from Harvard High School. Iris married Fred Saathoff on May 4, 1938 in Glenvil, NE; he preceded her in death in 1978. They farmed in the Hastings area until 1967 and moved to Hastings. Iris worked for Modern Linen Supply for 25 years. She married Dale Campbell in June 1998; he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Church Circle. Iris was a member of BPW, Friendship Tea, volunteered at the YWCA, and Mary Lanning Auxiliary where she volunteered at the snack bar.

Iris was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Fred Saathoff, Dale Campbell; daughter, Frances Lau in 2008; great-granddaughter, Bridget; sisters, Lois Laughlin, Zelma Sandoe; and son-in-law Dwaine Pekarek.
