Hastings resident, Jack D. Kehn, 79, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation; book signing will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover Animal Rescue.
Jack was born October 9, 1932 in Hastings, Nebraska to George & Mollie (Kister) Kehn. He received his education in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1950. He married June L. Jenkins on January 1, 1953 at Meadow Grove, Nebraska. Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged in 1954. Upon his discharge, he began working as an electrician at Guarantee Electric Company where he worked until he retired in 2004. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, V.F.W., American Legion, NRA, and IHMSA. Jack enjoyed his home, family, photography, coin collecting, target shooting, work and his many friends he made there, music, and the "Listening Room."
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sister & spouse, Dorothy & Bob Rader; and his special furry friend, Be Be.
