Jacob Hinrichs

Former Hastings resident, Jacob Daniel Hinrichs, 25, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, August 24, 2013; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. You are welcome to wear casual attire. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Jacob Daniel Hinrichs Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2013, 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.; Friday, August 23, 2013, 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.

Jacob was born May 2, 1988, in Hastings, Nebraska to William T. & Michele L. (Mitera) Hinrichs. He graduated from Hastings High School in 2006 and moved to Lincoln to attend the University Nebraska-Lincoln where he was enrolled in the criminal justice program. Jacob worked at Tenneco in Seward, Nebraska. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Jacob liked to make people laugh, being outdoors, hunting and fishing, going to the family hunting lodge near Red Cloud, enjoyed computers, video games and watching movies. He loved being around family and friends and was an avid Husker fan. Jacob loved animals, especially his dog Buddy.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lyle Hinrichs.
