James Howard

Hastings resident, James F. Howard, 85, of 233 N. Hastings, The Kensington, died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be at a later date at Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, Florida. No visitation or viewing.

Mr. Howard was born October 5, 1919 in Fox Lake, Illinois to Francis & Clara (Kruger) Howard. He married Janice Margaret Pixley in May of 1941 and she preceded him in death in March of 2000. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for Commonwealth Edison, now Exxon as a lineman/foreman. He moved from Florida to Hastings, Nebraska in 2000. He was a member of Elks, Moose and American Legion, all in Florida.

Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janice, two sisters and two brothers.
