Former Hastings resident James Craig “Jim” Jorgensen, 70, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK.
Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools Campaign, c/o STC/Neviary Center, 604 North St. Joseph Avenue, Hastings, NE 68901.
Jim was born August 12, 1952, in Hastings, NE to Dale W. and Virginia A. Jorgensen. He graduated from St. Cecilia High School, Hastings, NE. Jim possessed an extensive knowledge and work experience during many years of retail merchandising and operations, customer service programs, and call center operations.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dale W. and Virginia A. Jorgensen, and sister-in-law, Betty J. Jorgensen.
