James Mefford

James Raymond Mefford, 83, of The Kensington, 233 N. Hastings, died Friday, August 29, 2003 at The Kensington.

Services were Tuesday, September 2, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Heuer officiating. Burial with military rites was in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

James Raymond Mefford was born April 11, 1920 in Hastings, Nebraska to Alviro & Geraldine (Lambert) Mefford. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1939 and served in the United States Army during WWII from January 31, 1942 to October 8, 1945. He worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot, Hastings, Nebraska and later at the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant, Grand Island, Nebraska. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

James Raymond Mefford was preceded in death by his parents.
