Jana L. Pedersen

Jana L. Pedersen age 72, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many passed away peacefully at Mary Lanning Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. 

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Second Presbyterian Church, 400 South St. Joseph. The celebration of life will start at 1:00 P.M. Lunch will follow. Memorials may be directed to the Jana Pedersen Memorial Fund, c/o Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home, 1225 North Elm Avenue, Hastings, NE 68901. 

Jana was born on August 10, 1952. She grew up in Miami, OK and Pasadena, CA. She has been a Hastings, NE resident for many years and was employed by Mid-Nebraska Individual Services until she retired. Jana was very generous, loving, and kind and always gave her time to others. Being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma was her true passion. 

Jana is survived by her sisters, Paula and Kathy; son, Chris (Mikki); daughters, Chantel (Scott) and Robyn (Eric); nieces; Jennifer (Antonio) and Kimberly; nephews, Johnny and Jesse; grandchildren, Tisha (Brandon), Jared, Jesse (Jaqi), Myriah, Abbey, and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Alana, Gannon, and Novalee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lois Bogacz.
