Janet Cecava

Hastings resident, Janet Mildred (Buschow) Cecava, 80, of 622 E. 6th, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, December 31, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska.

Mrs. Cecava was born July 26, 1924 in Webster County, near Blue Hill, Nebraska to Alexander A. & Clara W. (Stumpenhorst) Buschow. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Hill, Nebraska. She graduated from Blue Hill High School and moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1950. She married Frank J. Cecava on May 16, 1954 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1959. She was a custodian at Dutton Lainson Company for 17 years and retired to spend time caring for her twin sister, Joyce's husband, Robert Placke and a niece Sandy. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Cecava was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, two brothers, her twin sister and three other sisters.
