Jared Morehead

Hastings resident, Jared R. Morehead, 25, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Friday, August 8, 2014; 7:00 P.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 9, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home, and one hour prior to rosary and Mass at the church. Memorials may be given to family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Jared was born April 7, 1989 to James Morehead and Suzanne (Hartman) Morehead in Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Nebraska. He attended Central Community College, Hastings Campus where he earned an Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics. Jared served in the National Guard for six years. Jared and Anjelica Bishop are the parents of a beautiful daughter, Sophia. He worked for UPS as a clerk, air driver and sorter and was an auto-mechanic. Jared was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Jared was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Glen Hartman, Melvin & Velma Morehead; Aunt: Phyllis Wilson; Cousin: Brittany Wilson and her baby, Zander.
