Jayne Beth McCoy

Jayne Beth (Fern) McCoy, 67, of Hastings, NE, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at her home.

Services will be held at Butler Volland Chapel at 2 P.M. Thursday, August 15, with Pastor Paul Knott officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be from 1-7 P.M. on Wednesday, August 14, and one hour prior to the service. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Jayne was born September 17, 1956, in Hastings, NE to Wally and Mary Rita (Buttell) Fern. She graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1974 and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jayne married Jeffrey McCoy on March 26, 2007, in Hastings. She worked for The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandise in California, Hastings Tribune, Dr. Sutcliffe in Hastings, and The Westin Hotel in Tulsa, OK. 

Jayne enjoyed special family trips, Nebraska Football/Basketball, and was an avid reader. Through her immense faith in Christ and card ministry, she ministered to family, friends, and acquaintances. She never complained and always thought of others before herself. 

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Mindy Goedert.
