Jean Walker

Hastings resident, Jean Walker, 78, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Graveside Services are Friday, May 30, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull with Pastor C. L. Wimer officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to Humane Society.

Jean was born April 3, 1936 in Hastings, Nebraska to Guy & Doris (Shultz) Williams. She graduated from Hastings High School. Jean married Duane R. Walker on April 30, 1955 at Hanover Presbyterian Church; he preceded her in death on May 1, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of Garden Lunch Club and a bridge club. Jean enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and her pets. She was a special mother to Bill & Doug Walker.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane R. Walker; and brothers-in-law, Curtis Hays & Jerry Frisch.
