Jeanne Patterson

November 24, 1920 — January 1, 2005

Former Hastings resident, Jeanne Louise Patterson, 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away January 1, 2005 after a lengthy illness.

Graveside service and burial will be Saturday, January 8, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Tim Semotan officiating.

Mrs. Patterson was born November 24, 1920 in Shelton, Nebraska, the only child of Edgar & Hazel Templin. She graduated from Los Angeles City College and worked at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California. While attending a U S O dance, she met her husband of sixty years, Harold F. 'Pat' Patterson. They were married at Langley Field, Virginia. Following Pat's release from the military, they moved to Texas and enjoyed life together and a career in the oil business. She was a lover of poetry, pets, and plants and spent her youth singing in various musical groups in high school and college. She was a charter member of the Oak Creek Village Woman's Club and first president of the Oak Creek Village Garden Club. She was also a member of P.E.O., D.A.R. and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Auxiliary.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold F. 'Pat' Patterson.
