Jenna Rene Cox

Former Hastings resident Jenna Rene Cox of Norfolk, NE, 24, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, due to an automobile accident. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Jenna Rene Cox Memorial Fund. Jenna was born February 18, 2000, to Robert and Stephanie (Olnes) Cox in Hastings, NE. She attended Hastings High School graduating in 2018. She also attended Northeast Community College and UNMC studying nursing. Jenna was currently the manager of Bling in Norfork, NE. 

Jenna was beautiful, sweet, smart, funny, had the most contagious smile and laugh, and always wanted the best for everyone; but most of all, Jenna was loved. She was loved by so many people. Jenna loved what she did, she worked hard and was so good at making others feel beautiful even if she didn’t always feel beautiful herself.

Jenna loved her family, her friends, her dogs, and she loved her life. She also loved spending time with her cousin, Brooklyn, doing makeup and telling jokes. She had so much going for her shortly before God called her name including starting a new adventure in Kearney with the love of her life, Dalton Goodenberger. She was going to be the new manager of Kearney’s Bling and was so excited to start her new job and next chapter there. 

Jenna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Stephen Cox; uncle, Jeremy Olnes; aunt, Susan Cox; great-grandparents, Vincent and Arzella Vandewalle, Lowell Olnes, Darlene Kinne, and Alva Cox; and great-aunt, Lucinda Choquette.
